Silvia Mittermuller
Originating from Munich, Silvia is one of the few German snowboarders to have made an international impact on the sport through the years. Learning to snowboard in 1997, she has grown into a very well-rounded rider, able to take it from the pipe and park to the pow with ease and complete a balanced season comprised of strong video parts and competition results. Silvia spends a lot of time in the United States in her favourite resort Breckenridge to fine-tune her park skills when not traveling for events or photoshoots otherwise.

Spring slush on the way into the summer
The contest season is done and the first resorts start closing. Here in Breckenridge we´ll have another month of snowboarding before the 2011/12 winter is done. I´ll most likely stay until then, before either returning to Germany or going for a little beach vacation – I realized the other week I havent had a beach vacation in over 2 years!
I love this time of the year as much as I love the pre-season, it has something relaxing to know you don´t have to be on another continent next week already.
Even though the last month of the season has been good – European Open, Nescafe Champs, Euro X Games and the Oakley Progression Session – I´m glad to finally be home in Breckenridge again, to learn some new tricks in the slushy park and film with friends. Life is good. I love spring.
